Explore our extensive portfolio showcasing innovative fibreglass solutions tailored for the toughest industrial environments.

FRP Piping Spools

For over 30 years, CWS has worked with Western Canada’s premier engineering firms and end users to supply a complete range of FRP/GRE turnkey solutions. Piping systems and circuits of any size can be prefabricated and shipped to site for final tie-ins.

Shop Drawings

CWS can work off the client isometric spool drawings or generate new cutsheets to be used for shop fabrication, pre-hydrostatic testing, and redline drawings for spool identification, and to be included as part of the quality-control documentation for the project.

Products

All the products we use have been rigorously tested by us both in the shop and through years of service.

Red Thread

Red Thread HP16 and HP25 piping has been used extensively with great success for petroleum production applications, such as saltwater handling, CO2, crude oil and gas, food processing services, water and wastewater facilities, HVAC, and chemical-processing services. It is an unlined, filament-wound product ideal for light chemical services in salts, solvents, and pH 2–13 solutions that corrode traditional metal pipe.

Green Thread

Green Thread high-pressure (HP) pipe is manufactured using a filament-winding process that combines fiberglass reinforcement with amine-cured epoxy resins. The pipe incorporates a resin-rich inner liner with a surfacing veil to enhance resistance to corrosive media.

It is an excellent choice for applications, such as dilute acid, caustic applications, produced water, industrial waste, hot water, and condensate return. It carries NSF Standard 61 for potable water service.

Centricast RB

Centricast RB-2530 Pipe is manufactured with aromatic amine-cured epoxy resin and high-strength glass reinforcement. The pipe includes a 100-mil resin-rich corrosion barrier designed for contact with a wide range of corrosive chemicals.

RB-2530 is suitable for process applications involving acids, caustics, salts, solvents, and elevated temperatures up to 250 °F (121 °C). It is available in diameters from 1″ to 14″.

The system is intended for industrial services requiring chemical resistance, temperature tolerance, and consistent mechanical performance.

Ameron Bondstrand

Bondstrand 2400 Pipe is designed for general industrial and water-based services, such as seawater, cooling water, wastewater, fire-water, and other mildly corrosive fluid services. It is available in diameters from approximately 2″ to 40″ and offers pressure ratings up to 50bar (725PSI), with temperature capability to 93°C (200°F), and higher-temperature operation at reduced pressure.

Bondstrand 3000 is is suitable for general industrial use with water, wastewater, mildly corrosive liquids, and mild chemicals.  It is available in nominal pipe sizes from 2″ to 16″ (50–400 mm), and pressure ratings range up to approximately 450 psi (32 bar), depending on diameter. The standard temperature range is -40°F to 150°F (-40°C to 66°C) or higher with specialized curing.

Bondstrand 3000A is intended for general industrial applications including water (potable, cooling, wastewater), boiler feed, brine, mild chemicals, and moderately corrosive fluids.  It is available in 2″–16″ (50–400mm) sizes. Working pressure is rated up to 450PSI (32 bar), depending on pipe size, and temperature up to 210°F (99°C).

Many series of Bondstrand pipe carry NSF Standard 61 for potable water service.

Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)

Although not actually FRP, CWS workers are trained in the installation of PVC piping, as a complement to FRP.

Custom Pipe

CWS also works with manufacturers of custom pipe. If your engineers or designers have specified the resin composition, thickness and layers of the FRP to be used, CWS can find a manufacturer who can build it.
